2025 KADG International Conference

The K-AIM Project Team attended the 2025 KADG International Conference, organized by the Korean Association for Digital Government. The theme of the conference was “Pursuing AI Government: AX Strategies for Government and the Public Sector in the AI Era.” The conference brought together scholars and practitioners to discuss artificial intelligence transformation (AX) strategies in government and the public sector.

During the conference, the K-AIM Project team organized and operated an international session titled “AI Museum Curation for Korea’s ODA.” The session focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, museum curation, decolonisation, and international development cooperation, particularly in the context of Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA).

Prof. Suweon Kim presented “Korea and AI: Bridging Decoloniality and Development Cooperation,” which explored how Korea, as an Asian middle power, could utilize AI in development cooperation while addressing decolonial perspectives. Prof. Gayoung Park presented “Value-Oriented AI Service Design for Museum Curation: A Metadata Governance Approach to Knowledge Structuring and Curation Logic,” focusing on AI-based museum curation systems, metadata governance, and knowledge structuring frameworks. Prof. Jeremy Essette presented “Remapping Africa – Where the Decolonization of AI and Museum Meet,” which examined the relationship between AI, digital mapping, and the decolonisation of knowledge and museum practices in Africa.
