1st Plural Developments Workshop

1st Plural Developments Workshop was held on April 8, 2026, at the Korea-Africa Foundation, bringing together nine participants to explore critical approaches to knowledge production and decolonisation in international development.
The workshop featured a presentation by Professor Shogo Kudo of Akita International University, titled “Decolonise What, How, and For Whom? – Africa-Asia Knowledge Exchange as a Praxis of Epistemic Decolonisation.” Drawing on his long-term fieldwork in the QwaQwa region of South Africa, Professor Kudo examined how conventional researcher–subject relationships can reproduce epistemic hierarchies and colonial power structures.
